I'm an avid Star Wars reader. I don't commit the entire universe to memory, because I have a life (sorta). I pick up every novel that comes out, mostly because I find the written descriptions of space battles very entertaining. The rumor that the most recent book will be the last has me very upset. Then again, Lucas totally raped his own creation, so who else would want to stick around?
I also read Da Vinci Code recently, which I strongly recommend.
Other favorites are Harry Potter, any mythology, military fiction, and stuff with genetically-engineered super-sharks!
